Many folks are experiencing issues with the Mac App Store when updating from the iPad version. It's a bug on Apple's end, so I'm working to collect info for so they can address it.
I am sorting through the App Store issues on the Mac and collecting information for Apple to fix the bug.
A couple things to know and try :
- The update is free for Patterning 3 owners. It is not a free upgrade from Patterning 1 or 2.
- If you did purchase the Patterning 3 on the iPad, the update is free. Go to your account in the App Store and find “iPhone and iPad Apps” and see if it shows up there.
- If it does not show up there, navigate to the page for Patterning 3 using the search, or via http://patterning.app. If it shows a price, you may need to follow through as if you are going to purchase it. Before it charges you, it should give you a message stating that 'This update is free because you own a previous version of this item. To get this update now, click OK.'
- If if does not give you that message, and is asking you to verify the full price for the purchase, this is a bug with the App Store. If so, I need to collect information for Apple Support.
- Store country or region
- Affected devices including the model and OS version
- Approximate Date/Time the error occurred, including time zone.
- Was the app purchased originally as a pre-order?
- Apple ID used for the purchase.
Please use the contact form to send me this info, so that I can forward it to Apple.
